Heather Stevens, MS, CPFWC, BCBA
Unleashing the Power of ABA for Your Financial Wellbeing
Heather Stevens is a passionate professional dedicated to empowering individuals in their journey toward financial independence. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Financial Coach (CPFWC), she combines her expertise in behavior analysis and personal finance to inspire positive and lasting transformations in people's financial health.
Heather's journey began in 2020 when she obtained her BCBA certification, marking the start of her career as a full-time behavior analyst. However, her personal journey with money management started earlier in life, as for the first 28 years, Heather relied on others to handle her finances. When the safety net of financial support was taken away through an unexpected divorce, she faced the daunting task of managing her own finances independently. This experience was both terrifying and empowering, pushing her to learn and master the art of financial decision-making.
With her unique approach, Heather aims to enlighten and educate individuals on the principles of behavioral finance. By understanding the psychological factors influencing financial habits and decisions, she helps her clients develop a healthier relationship with money. Heather firmly believes that empowering people with financial knowledge is not just about providing practical advice but also about encouraging them to take charge of their own financial destiny.
Kayla Perry, MS, BCBA, LBA
Using Socratic Questioning & Hostage Negotiation Techniques to Build Meaningful Communication
Kayla Perry is a Board- Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who began her career as a researcher, fresh out of her Clinical Psychology degree. While she jokes that her Master's in Clinical Psychology could have been an entire Bachelor's because of how long it took, it proved to Kayla the necessity for civil discourse in human-service fields, and how actively engaging with other's thoughts has a humanizing element. Wanting to bridge the gap between Clinical Psychology and thoughts-focused theory and more action-based intervention, she went on to pursue her Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis. She now owns a private practice, works with supervision students using a unique, Socratic-based supervision curriculum, and teaches Clinical Psychology courses at the university level.
Kayla is one of our highly-anticipated speakers. She is an outspoken crusader of common sense approaches to today’s “challenges” in our field. She champions free-thought and respectful debate.
